Why Phibian

Built from inside the problem.

Phibian exists because its founder operated inside the problem it was built to solve and could not find the software the work required.

The problem

Healthcare moved into the community. The infrastructure didn't.

Care increasingly happens outside traditional facilities, in homes, community settings, and wherever people receive support. But the operational infrastructure behind those teams remains fragmented across clinical records, scheduling, workforce systems, timekeeping, messaging, mileage, payroll, spreadsheets, and manual processes.

The EHR is the record of care. It was not designed to coordinate the entire operation surrounding care. That is the space Phibian is building for.

Abdirahman founded and scaled Generation Hope, a community-based healthcare organization that provides peer support services. As it grew across multiple locations and a distributed field workforce, the operating stack fragmented across an EHR, scheduling software, timekeeping, mileage tracking, messaging, payroll, spreadsheets, compliance workflows, and manual processes.

The clinical record documented care. Nothing coordinated the operation around care. Rather than accept that fragmentation, Abdirahman began building internal dashboards, APIs, automations, and workflows to make the organization easier to operate and the work easier to see. Those internal systems became the foundation for Phibian.

Phibian today is the extension of that same work: the operational infrastructure community-based healthcare providers have needed, built by someone who lived the problem before naming it.

Based in Minneapolis.
